3. SIX FLAGS HURRICANE HARBOR
This attraction is a water park just outside Grand Prairie. It has some of the fastest and tallest water slides countrywide. For example, the Atlantic Panic is one of its fast-paced water slides. It sends people down one of its two twisting flumes powered by 1,500 gallons of water. The boogie beach and lazy river are also excellent relaxing spots.
4. THE PARKS AT TEXAS STAR
Neighboring Mosier Valley – The Parks at Texas Star is a leading tourist destination. It has seven soccer fields, eight baseball fields, an amphitheater, a playground, a machine pitch, a pavilion, and a picnic area. These spaces have hosted many national, state, and world tournaments. You won’t miss a fun sporting activity to watch or do in this spot.

Running Bear Park
When the weather is nice, consider heading to this park for a fun day outside. Enjoy a game of baseball or basketball or take advantage of the multiple trails in the park. Fritz Park Petting Zoo
This fun petting zoo has a variety of animals that kids will love. They also offer guided tours so you can learn more about the animals and get to know them a little better. This petting zoo is also free although only open in the summer months. Open every day except for Monday, make sure to plan your trip early as this petting farm is a popular attraction.
Irving Archives and Museum
For history enthusiasts, take a step back to the 1960s and visit this archives center and museum. Following the assassination of President JFK, this historic home was restored to its 1963 look and opened as a multimedia museum in order to tell the story of the events that occurred there. It’s a smaller museum but well worth the trip.
Enjoy these attractions and make sure to give yourself enough time to explore them all. While not a bustling metropolis, there are many fun things to do in the area for adults and kids.
